Yesterday was the day we celebrate the life and accomplishments made by the father of the American Labor Movement and one of the leaders of the American Civil Rights Movement, César Chávez. From unifying Latinos and Filipinos together to fight oppression to going on a Hunger strike for 21+ days in order to get his message across for justice and equality, César Chávez made immense progress for ethnic people's rights and civil liberties in America. He one of the civil rights revolutionaries who inspired me to pursue activism and to pursue Latinos Unidos, our club meetings are even modeled after his United Farm Workers meetings where they began and ended the meeting with Chavez 's unity clap. Us Americans owe so much to this incredible man for his inspiration, contributions, and knowledge he exuded to our nation and the influence he's given off to the entire world. Si se puede y si se pudo, ¡arriba Latinos!
